The following versions of SQL are supported:
Microsoft® SQL Server™ 2005 Express (SP2) 32-bit or 64-bit Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Standard (SP2) 32-bit or 64-bit Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Enterprise (SP2) 32-bit or 64-bit Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Workgroup (SP2) 32-bit or 64-bit SQL Server 2008 Standard Edition x86 on Windows Server 2008 Standard x86 32-bit or 64-bit SQL Server 2008 Standard Edition x64 on Windows Server 2008 Standard x64 32-bit or 64-bit
Note: Express and Workgroup versions are not supported in a Multi-Site environment.

Note that SQL 2005 Express is only suitable for small workgroups. If used for large workgroups the RAM and CPU limitations will result in poor performance. Also the database size may be exceeded which will cause Vault to stop functioning.
