** .prt is the file format for UG-NX parts and assemblies
Formats supported with this technology preview are UG-NX version 3-4, Parasolid version 9-18, Pro/ENGINEER up to Wildfire version 3, PTC GRANITE up to version 4, and SolidWorks Version 2003 to 2007.
There has been tremendous demand and customer excitement with the Translators Technology Preview previously launched on labs. There have been over 5500 downloads in the first two-months! Customers are excited and have nothing but positive comments about the functionality, quality and depth of the translators.

The translator add-in has officially graduated from Autodesk Labs, and you can find all the functionality above included in standard Inventor 2009 and 2010 - no additional addin required.
