The Sketch Tools Add-in provides a toolbar that enables the user to quickly and easily edit any dimension on any part on any level in an assembly.

How To

 Command 1: Edit Dimension Value

This command lets you edit and sketch from any level in your assembly.

Command 2: All Sketches On

Select any part to turn all of its sketches on.

Command 3: All Sketches Off Except

This command is use to isolate a single sketch or if multiple sketches are selected before the command is started it will isolate the selected sketches.

Command 4: Selected Sketch Off

This command is use to turn off a single sketch.

Command 5: All Sketches Off

Select any visible sketch within a part file to turn all visible sketches off for that part.

Installation:
Please consult the ReadMe.txt once you've unzipped the download.
Please note there are separate instructions for 32- and 64-bit machines.

Setup the Toolbar:

  • Once installed, enable the ivSketchTools toolbar
    - Tools > Customise > Toolbars > select ivSketchTools > Show.
    - Check the ReadMe.txt file for installation instructions.


Use:

  • Select the Edit Dimension Value tool then select a part.
    - This will highlight all sketches in the part.

  • Hover over the dim you want to modify.
    - All other sketches will turn off.

  • Click on the dimension to edit it, or move your mouse away to make all the sketches and dimensions to become visible again.

  • When you select the dimension to modify, an edit box appears.

  • Type the new value for the dimension and press OK.
    - The part is now updated with the new value.


That's It. Enjoy.

Also keep and eye on the status bar as it provide feedback, such as part number when selecting parts, and dimension values when selecting dimensions.
