AutoCAD Electrical 2008 - Library Errors

Back to Categories    Print this Help Centre

In This Tip

Applies to:
AutoCAD Electrical 2008

If you have experienced the pin annotation being the same for the second and third part of an overload symbol, then the fault lies with a missing attribute in the actual symbol. Symbols affected are (but may not be limited to): VOL2, HOL2

How To

  • Select File dropdown and then Open
  • Browse to where you have installed the AutoCAD Electrical libraries
    e.g. C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AcadE 2008\Libs\IEC2
  • Locate the drawing VOL2 and Open
  • Using AutoCAD’s Copy command (Modify dropdown > Copy), copy the attribute FAMILY below itself as shown:

  • Double left click on the new copied attribute or type DDEDIT at the command line. Change the values as shown:

  • Save and close the drawing. Repeat for the HOL2 symbol.
